Dubai is a very important tourist attraction, and the port of Jebel Ali has a massive effect on its trades to and from the world. Dubai International Financial Centre made Dubai burst as a very important financial hub for various kinds of industries.
Dubai built and improved specific industrial free zones all around the city in order to attract the largest amount possible of businesses and turned out to be the most effective economic acheivement of Dubai. Media City and and Dubai Internet City benefited Dubai in triggered a wide technological improvement of communication and information. Big media companies such as BBC and MBC have been established in Dubai due to the great amount of temptation in the City.
After Abu Dhabi which is the capital of the United Arab Emirates, Dubai is the second wealthiest city in the country which consists of 7 states. Some people believe that Dubai economy mostly depend on oil, But the true fact is that Dubai only used a small portion of its oil to build its infrastructure for trades, tourism, and industrial facilities.
It has been stated by officials in Dubai that only 5% of Dubai economy is generated from oil, and an announcement has been made that it will be only a year or two when oil will be a subject to only 1% of the GDP in the city. Tourism builds up around 20% of Dubai's GDP. This shows that Dubai is a widely diversified economic city.
Dubai always focused on the attraction of new investors and tourists, and its expecting over 15 million tourists in 2015.
